5 Easy Art Projects: Inky Chalky Drawings · Craftwhack
Information technology'south day 2 of easy art projects, (day i is Dotty Marking Drawings) and today we've got chalk pastel drawings on ink-covered paper. I know that'due south a mouthful, just it couldn't be easier.
You can do this project with any age, the merely divergence being how much you are involved (which is usually the case when y'all modify art projects, right?)
Materials:
- Watercolor paper (non besides textured- alternatively, use bristol)
- Bharat ink (alternatively, use blackness, non-washable tempera.)
- Sponge brush
- Chalk pastels (alternatively, use chalk, just the pastels look much more vibrant.)
Directions:
Using your sponge brush, comprehend the watercolor paper with black india ink. Blackness tempera paint works well, too, simply only if it's the not-washable pigment. We left a loose white 'frame' unpainted around the paper. The Amazon link at the bottom of the post is for watercolor paper that is crude on one side and polish on the other, for dissimilar types of projects! I love products that exercise double duty.
Let the paper dry out and depict on it! For the littles, they can describe whatever their hearts desire. Simply the human activity of cartoon on a new surface, with a new medium is great exploration for them.
For the big kids, ket them draw any they desire, or brand some absurd color/warm color dots: have them option two absurd colors and two warm colors and combine them into dots- (i on the outside of the dot and one inside.)
How moderne!
